The island also has plenty of options for adventure-seekers, including parasailing, jet skiing, kayaking, dolphin cruises, windsurfing, paddle boarding, fishing charters, and so much more.

Island Nature

A nature lover's paradise, Hilton Head Island is the largest barrier island in the Atlantic Ocean and is located 40 miles north of Savannah, GA and 90 miles south of Charleston, SC.

The island is meticulously maintained as close to its natural state as possible with one of the most pristine beaches in the country, heavily wooded forests and unspoiled lagoons and sea marshes.

Hilton Head does not allow bright streetlights, billboards, or bright colored buildings, maintaining a scenic landscape even in commercial areas, so you are surrounded by nature, instead of neon! ​

Island Weather

Hilton Head Island has a humid subtropical type of climate. Sunshine is ample in Hilton Head with summer days receiving 14 hours of sunlight! Summer temperatures are in the 70°-90°F range with the peak in July. Winters are mild with low temperatures dropping below 32°F with a few frosty nights. Spring is the sunniest period with periodic rain showers but overwhelmingly pleasant weather. Fall has comfortable weather with warm ocean waters and less rainfall typically. Getting Around the Island

Hilton Head Island is an ideal place to ride bikes! There are nearly 60 miles of public bike and walking trails (HH Bike Path Map) accessible to all. Bring your own bikes or visit the bike rental kiosk located at the resort entrance.

During the summer season, The Breeze Trolley is a fun way to travel to some of the most popular destinations on the island, including Shelter Cove and Coligny Circle. There is a Breeze Trolley stop right outside our resort!
